HTML Syntax for Cart 32 - generated by the HTML Wizard

All of your coding for your cart will be automatically generated by the Cart32 HTML Wizard which you can download here. Below are a sequence of screen shots to help you use the HTML Wizard. If you were unable to download the Cart32 HTML Wizard program because you are not using a Windows machine, then you can use our web-based Cart32 HTML Form Wizard.

 

Starting out with Cart32 - 

When you first open the Cart32 HTML Wizard you will be prompted to enter the Form Wizard Options which include the client code and the CGI directory location. Your client code is usually your yourdomaincom. If you have a long domain name please refer to the Cart32 email you received to find out what you client code is. The CGI directory will always be https://www.readysecure1.com/cgi-bin/ or https://www.readysecure2.com/cgi-bin/ (Please check your Cart32 Instructions email to determine which server your shopping cart is located on)

After you have entered the client code and CGI directory click OK. Next you will need to fill in the information for the product: Item Name, Price, Part No, Weight, Shipping, etc. If you have a customized image you would like to use for the "Add to Shopping Cart" button, put the complete address, starting with http:// or https:// in the Add Item Image field. The Frame Target and Link to URL can be left blank.

Adding options to your items - 

After you have finished entering the product information then click the Next button at the bottom. The next screen is where you can enter options for the product. There are six types of options your product my have: Drop Down List, Radio Buttons, Check Box, Text Box, Multi-Line Text Box, and Hidden. To add options first click on the Add Option button

The screen below will pop up where you enter the Option Name. Click OK after you enter the name. You will need to click on Add Option for each on the item's options.

After you click OK then select which of the six option types it will be. To add the various types of options for the Option Name you just entered click on Add Option Value. You may also change the item values based on this option as show below. When you are done click OK. You will need to click on the Add Option Value button for each individual option

You can now see that you have added the item option Size with five choices: S, M, L, XL, and XXL where XXL is a different price. After you have added all the options and option values or if the product has no options, then click the Next button again at the bottom. 

 

Copying the generated HTML code - 

The final step of setting up your product in the cart is copying and pasting the code you've just created using the Wizard into your product web page.

To copy the code click the Copy to Clipboard button or you can use Ctrl-C. 

 

Pasting the code into your page - 

You can use FrontPage for working with your shopping cart code. Simply open the page the product will appear on, make sure you are in HTML View, and paste your selected code into the desired part of the product web page.

Once you have pasted the HTML for adding products to the shopping cart, you are ready to generate the View Shopping Cart and Empty Shopping Cart HTML code.

View Shopping Cart 

To generate the code for the View Shopping Cart button you will need to click on the View Shopping Cart tab at the top of the Wizard.

The client code and CGI Directory will be the same as described and shown above. If you have a customized image you would like to use for the "View Shopping Cart" button put the complete address, starting with http:// in the View Item Image field. The Frame Target will be left blank. You MUST use the Get Method which will generate just a link unless you use a View Item Image. When finished click on the Create HTML button and it will generate the code. Now just copy the code and paste it in the desired area of your web page.

Empty Shopping Cart

You will follow the same instructions given above for the View Shopping Cart button in order to generate the code for the Empty Shopping Cart button.

Now you are ready to test your product page and code. Go to your product web page in a browser and run through the shopping cart portion you just created.
