How to convert CHMOD Commands (Permission Codes) to Windows Permissions

You cannot set CHMOD on a Windows 2000 or 2003 server since CHMOD is a Unix/Linux server command function that does not work on Windows IIS servers. However, we can set read write and execute permissions for you as desired if you submit a request in the Support HelpDesk and specifically state which permissions are needed for specific files and/or folders.

Here is anther way of looking at CHMOD Commands translated to Windows permissions

Permissions:

400 read by owner
040 read by group
004 read by anybody (other)
200 write by owner
020 write by group
002 write by anybody
100 execute by owner
010 execute by group
001 execute by anybody

For example, to get read write execute by owner, 

read execute by group, and execute by anybody,
you would add 400+200+100+040+010+001 to give 751.
