VeriSign Network Solutions - Domain DNS Modification Instructions

IMPORTANT: For ALL customers who set up hosting accounts after September 14, 2003 or have migrated to our new Windows 2003 servers, please note that our new domain name servers are as follows;

NS1.WINSDNS.COM
and
NS2.WINSDNS.COM

These instructions are provided for 1PlanHost.Com customers who are transferring existing domains that are currently registered with VeriSign Network Solutions, Inc. It is not meant as a authoritative tutorial on their services. For official instructions please see the Verisign site at http://www.networksolutions.com and click on HELP in the top right corner of the first page.

To modify your Domain Account information you will need to go to https://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/manage-it/index.jhtml where you will see the following login screen. You can also go straight to http://www.networksolutions.com and then click on Account Manger in the top right corner.

Once you enter your account number and password and are logged in you will see a list of links on the left side under MY ACCOUNT. You will need to click on Domain Names and then you will be taken to the following page. For the domain that you wish to modify you will need to click on Edit DNS so that you can change the name servers.

You will then be taken to a confirmation page. This page asks if you want to change your DNS to Network Solutions. On this page you will need to click on NO THANKS because you need to enter our name servers.

On the next page you will need to enter the name servers that were provided in the Hosting Account Information email that we sent to you after your account was setup.

After you enter the name servers then click on Continue. On the next page it will display the name servers that you just entered for you to confirm. Please click Continue again. Finally on the last step of the modification process it will show you the following and you are finished with modifying your DNS information.

Now you need to modify the Technical Contact Information. To do this you will need to again click on Domain Names from MY ACCOUNTS. This time you will need to click on Edit Contacts/Manage DNS as shown below.

On the next screen you will need to click on the CHANGE CONTACT button under the Technical Contact section. As shown below:

On the following page you will need to enter the Contact Handle: NO2813-ORG as shown below and then click Continue

After you click Continue you will be taken to a page where you are given the option to also apply this Contact Handle change to the other domains that you have registered. After you select the other domains that also need to be modified, if they need to be modified, then click Continue again.

You are now finished with changing our Domain Name Servers and your Technical Contact Information.
