Email Migration Issues
- Email account not working on new email server –
Login to your control panel account at
https://cp1.winscontrol.com and select the domains icon, click on your
domain, then email accounts icon. From there you can recreate email account
settings or change password, etc. as needed. If you had previously set your
local email client software (Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, etc) to use a
specific email server IP address for the connection, please refer to the new
email server IP chart at
http://www.1planhost.com/iplist for a list of the old and new email
server IP addresses and change your connection to the new email server IP
address. Please note that most email users do not set a specific IP address
in their local email client software so this may not be relevant to all
users.
- Emails saved on
email server between March 16 and migration date is not showing up on new
email server. -> Do not worry
here because ALL email that was delivered to your email account on the old
server is still there unless you have downloaded it locally. Since your
domain name and email account is now resolving to the new server (after
migration) all email is delivered to the new server rather than the old. To
retrieve the old email and access the old email server account, set up a NEW
(additional) connection in your local email client software (Outlook
Express, Outlook, Eudora, etc) Instead of using mail.yourdomain.com as the
incoming (POP3) email server put the old email server IP address in that
field. See

For example, if your new email server is 216.74.123.4
then the old email server address is 216.153.93.4 Please refer to our email

Important:
Please include ALL of your email information in the ticket including old and
new IP address, email address, email password. Please also describe what
steps above you have attempted and any specific email problem you are
having. Please do not just create a ticket and state that your email is not
working. We will need specific information in order to assist you in a
timely manner.
